With the 2025/2026 timetable change, Kombiverkehr KG is giving transport to Spain a new future. The Ludwigshafen KTL and Barcelona Morrot terminals will be consolidation locations for all loading units that are transported in a climate-friendly manner by rail between Germany and Spain with Kombiverkehr.

Combined with eleven round trips per week between these two locations, we are putting together a service package that will ensure greater flexibility and security. From Barcelona, direct trains of the Frankfurt based operator will also run three times a week in each direction to and from Madrid and Constanti, and Köln-Eifeltor will have a direct connection to and from Ludwigshafen four times a week in each direction. This will enable Kombiverkehr to convert the current range of multi-group trains to single-group trains and simplify operational processes.

The Basque Country (Hendaye) will be served via Ludwigshafen with two round trips per week. The Antwerp–Madrid v.v. train service will continue to operate with three round trips per week.
