From 11 October, Kombiverkehr will offer seven round trips per week on the Rostock – Verona Interterminal v.v. route. New features include Saturday shipments from Rostock and an additional, later cut-off time on Thursdays from Verona Interterminal. Transport is generally possible for semi-trailers up to profile P400 and for 40- and 45-foot containers. Transporting a load weighing 25 tonnes saves 4.4 tonnes of CO2 on the outward and return journeys. There are ferry connections from Rostock to Gedser, Trelleborg, Helsinki, Klaipeda, Hanko and Kotka. These are all good reasons for intermodal transport by truck, rail and ferry.
