We are strengthening our European network – with a new terminal stake in Barcelona Morrot.

On 31 May 2025, the newly founded operating company UTE Rail Hub Morrot (RHM) took over the Barcelona Morrot terminal and began operations. RHM is a joint venture owned 60% by Renfe and 40% by Kombiverkehr – a strong partnership between two leading players in European rail freight transport.
By acquiring a stake in this strategically important terminal in Catalonia, we are strengthening our commitment in Spain and establishing a new operational base for our trains to and from Barcelona.

Located in the urban agglomeration, the Barcelona Morrot terminal offers ideal conditions for further expanding rail freight transport between Central Europe and the Mediterranean region.
We are delighted to be taking this step together with Renfe towards sustainable and connected logistics in Europe.
